Katya Mickelson, PhD, is a Psychology Resident in North Dakota. Her areas of clinical interest include working with survivors of trauma and providing couples and relationship therapy within an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) framework. Dr. Mickelson works to craft a space with clients where their individual experiences, culture, and worldviews are honored while using an integrative, holistic, and evidence-based approach to treatment.
Dr. Mickelson’s areas of personal interest include dogs (please show me your pet pictures), podcasts/documentaries, and discussing per rather impressive collection of coffee and tea mugs.
Dr. Mickelson received her her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of North Dakota. She completed her pre-doctoral internship through the Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program in Wichita, KS. She is supervised by Elizabeth Luger, PhD, LP (individual clients) and Dave Jackson, PhD, LP (couples clients) and working with Dr. Jackson to obtained her Certified EFT credential.
